Wednesday Words of Wisdom With MD, 9/14/2021
The word "rejoice" has been on my mind all week. David wrote in Psalm 35:9, "And my soul shall rejoice in the LORD; It shall exult in His salvation." He continues in 118:24 "This is the day which the LORD has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it." I'll have to admit I have not felt like rejoicing this week because I've had my priorities on me and writing papers. I believe God put "rejoice" in my heart because He wants me to focus on HIM in all His glory, rather than on writing the perfect paper. Don't get me wrong, He expects us to do our best in everything, but not at the expense of sacrificing our relationship with Him or our families. How about you? Have you been able to "rejoice in the LORD" this week, or have you, like me, focused on things that prevented you from rejoicing (being happy)? Paul said in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the LORD always; again I will say rejoice." Let us all take a moment to step out of academia, following Paul's admonition to "rejoice in the LORD."
I found a song on YouTube that brought tears to my eyes. I encourage you to view the Hamilton family as they sing "Rejoice in the LORD" at:
